Once again this stupid indecent dressing bill is making headlines...why t is doing so only heaven knows.
How ill-timed this is, at a time when militants are busy murdering innocent women and children all in the name of liberating the Niger-Delta...liberation my arse and instead of this so called legislator woman to address the issues in the Niger Delta she is opening her smelly va-jay-jay for the whole world to smell...it stinks by the way.
What pains me is that the Nigerian woman does not understand her rights...if it was the government saying they were going to hike up the price of fuel once more...no one would hear word...Oshiomole and his idiot boys would have commandeered all the media to tell everyone once more that the useless NLC is about to once more cripple the economy...hissss
Instead, because it doesn't concern the "masses" oga comrade is enjoying himself in the Edo state government house...nonsense.
Where are all the mothers...who buy clothes for their daughters...will they sit back and watch one Ekaette tell ladies older than 14 how to dress? What the french toast? The bill doesn't even make sense
The bill just stinks of hypocrisy, she couldn't find anything better so she had to show the world how backwards her mode of thinking is...as if wearing mary amaka clothes is going to stop a man from raping a girl if he has set his mind to do so...if she cant find any better means to add her two cents she should please go back to being a house wife, none of all this embarrassing nonsense, im sure the house of representatives has bigger bones to chew than the ramblings of a woman who has no fashion sense and does not understand anything about fundamental human rights...if it is a woman's choice to endanger herself let it be so but she has no right to cry wolf when all is said and done, so madam Ekaette those that have breast let the flaunt it...abi is it paining you?

Things to consider when calling Tech Support...
Date: 2007-04-27, 11:38PM EDT
Hi! I'm your Technical Support Rep. I have a considerable amount of control over one or more important aspects of your daily life: television, telephone, and internet. Sometimes one, sometimes all three. Before we interact, I'd like to share some thoughts with you:
* I am here, simply put, to fix your shit. My job is not complete until said shit is fixed. Please just help me fix this shit.
* With that out of the way, know that I hate you exactly as much as you hate me. No more, no less. If you are at least relatively pleasant, I'm happy to help you- even to make small talk as I attend to the issue at hand. Conversely, if you are a total and complete jackass, I will make this the worst 10 minutes of your week.
* Neither I, nor any of my coworkers, are out to fuck you. We are not idiots. We are college graduates in technical disciplines, the vast majority of whom are here to work their way up the IT ladder to more fulfilling positions. Sometimes we have off days, sure, but we know EXACTLY what we are doing. Note that this does not apply to anyone outside of our department. They are, in all reality, idiots who are out to fuck you.
* So you've already unplugged the "internet box" and plugged it back in? Brace yourself, you're going to do it again. Most of the time I do this for a reason...unless you're a dick. Then I do it to see how mad it makes you.
* Don't lie to me- I can tell you have a router. It isn't illegal.
* To those who think they are "computer illiterate": The vast majority of the time, you are lovely customers: Patient, willing to learn, and most importantly, willing to listen. Thank you!
* To those who think they are CompSci PHD's: The vast majority of the time, you are retarded: If you already cycled your equipment and it didn't work, why did it work when I made you do it again? If you are so well educated, stay the hell out of the queue so that people who need help can get it.
* Supervisors don't have a magic wand that they can wave to make everything better. They are governed by the same protocol and use the same utilities as I do. In fact, supervisors are more likely to tell you to fuck off- believe it or not, they have other pressing issues to attend to. If a node goes down, they WILL put those 200 subscribers before you in Priorityland.
* Threatening to cancel does not intimidate us. We have an entire department that is paid to care about that, which means that I don't have to. Harsh? Sure, but I have more than enough work to do fixing shit, yelling at field techs, following up on cases, and explaining the concept of email to your grandmother that it won't cause me to lose any sleep.
* It worked fine yesterday? Oh, then I must be wrong. Let me reconsider the 40 minutes I spent troubleshooting your Win98 box. Check it out: Shit breaks (see point 1); If shit did not break, I would be mowing your lawn instead of sitting in this office.
* Speakerphone? Turn it the fuck off.
* Don't call back and have another rep troubleshoot the same problem. He will read the notes I left about how you spilled coke into your cable box. Even if he didn't, he would come to the same conclusion, and more people with undiagnosed problems would be stuck listening to that god-awful hold music.
* I am not blowing smoke when I say that I understand how frustrating it is to wait on hold, get transferred, and deal with bad agents. I too have called Dell's tech support line. The difference is that I actually DO care about your problem, so please just calm down before I kill your family.
* My company has over 20 million subscribers. I handle a region of about 2 million. To this day, none of them have ever called in to say "I just wanted you to know that my shit is working correctly." Maybe someday?
So what can I help you with today?
Yeah finals are going swell. My mom is mad at me for not speaking to her today when I called her sister to say happy mother's day...she's being greedy I told her the exact same thing in March...Happy Mother's day mom 2x gaaaaah

Love is the Movement
It's been a while...what's happened since March?
1. Love unreturned
2. Formal...scorned love
3. Love found
4. Finals...love kept
1. I have a hard time showing emotions..its taking a toll on me, no one ever knows when I am besotted and my affections are unrequited... :(
2. Formal...allow me to introduce la belle du jour - yours sincerely. Just as the one I want seems to elude my attentions, I seem to gain the attention of some others - nothing wrong with them just too much baggage and baggage is definitely not my cup of tea
3. I <3 Reema we have grown so class and I am glad we pledged together. I found God again I know even if SIT cant return my affections, there is one love that encompasses the world and I have that love for no absolute reason other than grace - God's love is abundant in my life and I hope others can see it and try to get it too...Thanks Switchfoot for helping me recommit myself
...Heavenly father, you always amaze me :)
4. Its time for finals, I'm at rest and trusting in God that I will make him, my parents and myself proud :)
My mind is dull and faded
From these years of buy and sell
My eyes have seen the glory
Of this hollow modern shell
And sex is a grand production
But I'm bored with that as well
Ah, Lord save me from myself
Electric sun keep shining
Ripen daughters of the chrome
This world is where I breathe
Let it never be called home
Where the vultures make the money
Is where our bodies fell
Ah, Lord save me from myself - Jon Foreman
Bless you

Thou Shalt not...
There was a time when the only sins we knew where those written down in the Ten Commandments...
and then the Catholic church came up with the Deadly sins...and the not so deadly sins (I forget the real name)
Anyhoo today the Vatican released some new sins...and omg they are Mortal sins
some of them are in my own words:
Thou shalt not be obscenely rich (take note Bill Gates)
Thou shalt not pollute the earth (take note Lagos state government)
Thou shalt not manipulate genes for the sake of scientific experiments (take note stem cell research ppl)
Thou shalt not do/sell drugs (w3rd)
Thou shalt not violate Human Rights
Abortion and paedophilia are somewhere in the list too...
bravo Vatican...only succeeded in losing more young membership
since I am not Catholic I think I can say...umm I am not so sure why it is a sin to be obscenely rich as long as no one is hurt in the process of attaining and maintaining the riches...I like money because money is kind of good
I am not a great fan of pollution, I'd like the earth to be habitable for my great great great great grandchildren so kudos Vatican on that one
Manipulating genes...if from gene manipulation a cure for cancer, Alzheimer's can be found...I'm up for it...but if the reason for gene manipulation is to create a super human being then I am against it...so I guess I will sit this bit out.
I don't do drugs nor sell them...so I guess that one is kosher with me
Thou shalt definitely not violate human rights
Abortion...I'm pro life...use a condom if you no fit hold body
paedophilia is a no no...screws up kids minds and we wonder why there are so much university shootings
But left to me I think humans have evolved enough to know what is right and wrong...I don't think we need the church telling us what is good or bad, if we strive to be godlike (which I definitely am striving to become) we should be able to distinguish between right and wrong I mean its not rocket science...dont pollute the earth otherwise there'll be no where else for you and your descendants to live...
with that...I'm of to daydream about my latest crush.

Bittersweet Symphony
That song has been in my head since the weekend and thinking of the lyrics makes me realize how much of a genius Richard Ashcroft is.
And it makes me wonder, the things we take for granted how meaningful they really are...for example companionship...I'm never the one to wear my emotions on my sleeve but sometimes I feel numb, it seems people do not understand the workings of my rather complex mind to comprehend my actions.
I have been thinking a lot lately about religion...contemplating why we humans need to believe in something bigger than ourselves. I have come to the realization that we all need something to look up to, no matter how independent an individual is, there is that stage he/she aspires to reach...maybe this is why we have God.
He is all knowing, ever present, never changing and the list goes on. As wonderful as he is, we humans have done some stupid things all in his name. Look at Gaza today, innocents die simply because people are fighting for Holy Land...maybe Jerusalem should become some sort of Vatican, sovereign to none other but itself and maybe the Christians, Muslims and Jews may live together in some sort of peaceful coexistence.
"And I'm a million different people from one day to the next..." It's these subtle differences in personalities that make us interesting subjects...as much as I love myself I wonder if I can enjoy being with someone like me all the time...
It's just a bittersweet symphony this life...
Trying to make ends meet
Trying to find someone then you die...
I think unlike Bono I have found what I'm looking for...piece of mind with a father in heaven whom I believe is always looking out for me...not providence...guidance and my own free will with Yahweh there to guide me and ppick me up when I make those bad choices that define my humanity...
and life is a bittersweet symphony because to get to the enjoyable part...you have to suck on a lot of sour lemons...mais c'est la vie

The City of Blinding Lights
My bout of Malaria is finally over.
24th February, UMDNJ hosted Vagina Monologues, yours truly was there...fabulous
25th the usual, class all day meetings all night...and Champagne while studying
26th uneventful...hang over in class, wrote a paper on History of Mathematics (woohoo)
27th ...Quiz in Physical Chemistry aced that
28th...I don't understand African Americans, they feel they have stronger ties to Africa than proper Africans...maybe they do maybe they don't but I refuse to be chastised for being privileged...so don't tell me there are hungry kids in Africa...I know this already.
Today...work...City later, going to get all fabulous and hang out with OneRepublic probably hit National Underground http://www.yelp.com/biz/national-underground-new-york
while at this...there's a proposal in the Nigerian House of Assembly to make indecent dressing a criminal offence. If your husband can't help but look at another woman's chest, I guess it means you have to get some silicone in yours.
In this day and age how can we be living according to standards dictated by society...scratch that the government? What ever happened to individualism and self expression?
Personally I dont expose my rack (because I've got none) but I agree with the saying "If you've got it flaunt it"
If I can't show off my legs then the same should be done about frivolous spending...after all when you spend millions on drinks that in itself is vulgar...since all vulgar things are now criminal offences then the government should be charged on spending money on crap...
anyhoo off to get ready to have a great time tonight...cheers

I havent posted anything because I have been uber ill.
well things that have been on my mind during my convalescence have been the proposed indecent dressing bill supposed to be passed in the Nigerian Senate... I say screw that. If I feel the need to walk around indecently dressed, its my freaking prerogative.
I can't type that much since I am not fully recovered but soon
